Re: Tokens.. Redeemed Yes or No??

I see that some of you have received notification from Corgi that they received your tokens. I was just wondering how long it took for Corgi to get respond if they did. I sent my tokens by registered mail so I know they have received them, but I have yet to hear from them. I even requested a response in my letter and gave them my E-mail address,

Re: Tokens.. Redeemed Yes or No??

Is there a way to modify the poll to change one's vote to reflect changed circumstances? When I voted, I had not yet mailed my tokens. I have since done so and I suspect this applies to others so the poll is not really accurate.

No still haven't heard a thing. With Nona gone not sure who I should try and contact, or if I should ride it out and see what happens.

Re: Tokens.. Redeemed Yes or No??

Now watch the redemption piece be some type of gaudy scheme like the assembly ship liberators.

I consider a all "silver finish" with no markings to be worse even.....

Re: Tokens.. Redeemed Yes or No??

Hey MikeB it is worse, the "token" planes are going to be brushed natural finish, no color. I would not have bothered with getting enough to send in if I knew that was what was going to be the freebie.

Re: Tokens.. Redeemed Yes or No??

If you have any of the 2007 releases (black box/art on sleeve) then you probably have a model containing a token.. The actual token will be on a cardboard tab insert affixed to the side of the box bottom but overlaying the clear plastic cover..

So H, only 2007 models carry these 'legendary' tokens ?

Since my 24 year Marriage went " ****'s-up" earlier this year, I haven't bought anything since the 'Pembroke-Dock' Catalina, or the 2 x Swordfish I bought (Silver one & Floatplane).

On the Poll, I sadly voted " Tokens, What Tokens ? "

Wouldn't have given a 'Flying-Fig', if there hadn't of been any mention of a "free" Halifax !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems a bit harsh on collectors like me, who've supported Corgi over the (EARLIER) years........ & whilst I STILL maintain that I'm a "cherry-picker" when it comes to collecting (spare me the rude innuendo's, Gent's !) , rather than a 'full-on' I'll buy anything that comes out type collector, I've still managed to amass 35 - 40 models - mostly large stuff like B.17's, Lancasters & the like (their dearer, more expensive stuff), along with the 'older' C.97's & Boeing 707's (older offerings).

Judging by the (apparently) 'Lame' response from Corgi so far, that you guys are reporting - it not only strikes me as futile, but makes my (usual) 'Jaded' outlook/opinion seem as though "why bother" ?

Wonder if I'll be regretting my 'ignorance' to tokens, when people start eulogising about their "brushed Silver Halifax" (that appears to be the "carrot & stick" for these 'tokens') ?

Re: Tokens.. Redeemed Yes or No??

For longest time I was wondering what these tokens you all have been talking about looked like. Finally opened Adolf Galland Me 109 I had purchased earlier this year, and there it was a bright shiny blue token. Looks good in the box, plane looks nice on the shelf.
