Re: New Corgi Club piece..

Harry,

Have you gotten any newsletters from the USA Collector's Club recently?

No, I haven't, but that is about typical.... I never received the ones last year until they were over a month late.. Corgi has recently gone thru a personnel change and there are quite a few new people in the US office.. Hopefully, they can get back on the ball and run the club as it should be run..

Re: New Corgi Club piece..

Is that in 1:72 or a showcase plane?

No specification, but I would think it is a 1/72..

Hate to be a spoil-sport, but given the US Club's track record, I'm betting this is going to be a showcase model.

Re: New Corgi Club piece..

If you join the club, do you usually get cars every month, or do they get you palnes. I don't do cars esspecially foreign cars. they all look like something that Mr. Bean would drive.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: New Corgi Club piece..

You get one free club exclusive each year.

The USA club hasn't been around very long (2 years?) and so far, they've given away cars. This will be the first plane.

Now with that said, they do have Club member-only exclusive offers from time to time, like that EXCELLENT offer they had this summer, where if you bought something like $150 worth of Corgi b/w April and June, you'd get your choice of free Corgi models...I chose the 1/32 Barkhorn Me-109 . So they've got good stuff like that. And the quarterly newsletter is nice. There's also a private forum.

Re: New Corgi Club piece..

Well I paid my $15 as soon as I read about the new model (about 2 weeks ago) and guess what came in the mail today.....

A pale yellow 57 Chevy!

Hope this doesn't mean I'm not getting the Gold Spitfire.

Leigh-Mallory and his big wings! Might as well stay on the ground for all the use they are!

You're not. They've been talking about a gold P-51.

Re: New Corgi Club piece..

So, I just joined last week, so does that mean that I will get the Gold Mustang as well?
