Corgi Photo Recon Spitfire AA31928

Looking for some information on this model. Anyone have it? Is it any good or should I just skip it? I must admit the color looks unique and interesting. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Yawn. I think your $39.95 could be better spent on something a little more exciting. I mean, tired moulding, boring livery (one color, no nose art or DDay stripes, no roundles on wing bottom). My 2 cents.

Re: Corgi Photo Recon Spitfire AA31928

The AA31928 Spitfire is what it is, I would not fault it for having a boring camo since that’s what the plane looked like. The corgi Spitfire mold is ok, & I don’t think you are going to find a recon Spit being made by G Aces anytime soon.

Do you have any other recon planes, if you don’t AA31928 could be a good choice in order to represent that mission in your collection. If you already have recon planes such as the ones listed below

50002 P-51 ‘Lil Margaret 15th TRS,
AA99110 Spitfire PR Mk.VII (IG) No. 1 Photo Recon Unit
AA99110 Mosquito PR Mk.IV No. 1 Photo Reco Unit
AA32807 Mosquito PR.XVI USAAF 653rd BS/25th BG 325 Photographic Wing
AA36606 F-4-1-LO Lightning Photo Recon A55-3, RAAF 1st. PRU
AA36611 Lockheed P-38 Lightning PRU (Pre-order)

I would pass unless you want a recon collection to fill a shelf.

Re: Corgi Photo Recon Spitfire AA31928

Hi HT:

I had cleaned and reorganized my office and collection today and, in doing so, began placing some models in a pile to sell. I bought this just for the token (for Corgi's rip-off promotion) and took it out for a quick look before placing it in storage. I couldn't PM you, but if you might be interested send me a PM with your email addy. Otherwise I'll list it here later tomorrow (Sept.1).

Hey Black6,

Thanks for the offer. Right now I'm thinking of using my slush fund for either a Gemini Aces Spitfire (as I don't own one yet) or the new Dragon Fw-190 with the snake markings instead. So if you can help out Captain Eddie, that would be great! Thank you everyone for your opinions and input.

Oh, I'm not interested in the Recon Spit, so Chairman Milo can have it, I was wondering what else Black 6 had to offer.

(Never mind, question answered!)
