Is that 1/48 or 1/72? Sure looks nice!

Re: P-51D Mustang 'Down for Double'

Well I think it's a nice scheme, unfortunately it's on yet another Corgi "Mustang".....That's undoubtably the best way to display one of these critters - with that flat top cowl cover off.....Too bad Draggin' didn't do this one....then we'd have a Down for Double P-51.

Re: P-51D Mustang 'Down for Double'

Be NICE Skunky! It does have a correct canopy and the radiator scoop underneath is accurate. The wings are the right shape so it's not a total dog. The markings do look nice and let's be honest here - they've never been done before.

I would get one only for the markings. If I can stomach a Witty Mustang for a unique set of markings, then a Corgi P-51 can't be much worse. Afterall, they do tend to hold their value in the resale market.

Re: P-51D Mustang 'Down for Double'

I don't know why everyone complains about yet another mustang. Are they supposed to quit making them? I say keep them comming. As long as they are not reissuing previous releases I don't see the problem. I think that this one is great.

Agreed.. If the only thing to complain about is a FLAT cowl, then there should be a ton more things to complain about than just the Mustang.. Fact is, Corgi holds its resell value better than anything on the market and a "good release" from them is always going to be a winner, minut flaws and all...

Re: P-51D Mustang 'Down for Double'

Hey that looks pretty cool..
I like the nose art that comes with it.
This is a nice looking paint scheme on that Corgi Mustang...which by the way i'll be ordering now.
This will look good next to my corgi BBD Mustang.
