Question Re: New Vickers Wellington

Say, what is the production run on those? How many?

This one is not limited. Understand that this does not mean that it is unlimited.

Yes. It was a 22-million candlepower, 24-inch searchlight used to illuminate u-boats at night while they were on the surface.

It was a powerful (22 million candela) searchlight that was fitted to a number of Britain's Coastal Command patrol bombers to help them spot surfaced German U-boats at night.

Re: New Vickers Wellington

I already have this on order and am looking forward to receiving it. It will be my first (and probably only) Wellington so I get an unusual bomber in the guise of Coastal Command too!

...here's a picture of the pre-pro, at the bottom there's a link to a picture of a real Leigh light exhibited at the RAFM Hendon...

Re: New Vickers Wellington

I only have the SEAC Wellie but from the pics I've seen, this looks to be the
best of the bunch. Methinks the credit card is about to take another hit.
