desert Halifax

I received the desert Halifax. I am very impressed by that plane. I believe it did not sell well: everybody appears to be waiting for friday the 13th livery. Anyway, there is only 730 of them and they are really good. If you are a desert liveries lover, get yours before they are gone.

Re: desert Halifax

Almost picked this up at the Geneseo Air show for $70.00, but didn't. Have the other 2 Halifaxes and like you said I am waiting for Friday the 13th. Kind of kicking myself now.

I can only afford to have one so am waiting for FTT. That said, I've been eyeing all those that have been released and this is one is very nice.

Re: desert Halifax

This is the one Corgi Halifax I have. I got it for the unique paint scheme, plus the awesome story of this plane fighting off a squadron of Ju-88s over the Bay of Biscay and making it to North Africa (unfortunately without the glider it was towing, but don't worry, the glider crew was picked up by a British ship).

I might look at ye ol' Friday the 13th when (or if) it ever comes out, but I don't know its story and why its so outragously famous and why everybody wants this livery.

This may be a good choice for those wanting a Merlin engined Halifax as opposed to TL*S with the huge dorsal turrent. For me a Halifax has to come with the Bristol engines hence the wait. On the other hand if you just need two versions of both...
