Re: Baffled by Corgi Warbirds

The only place I've seen them at is my local independent toy/model store. The also carry AA but everything is at full price +.

What is the regular list on Warbirds??

They have them at $20. I thought that they were ment to be cheaper than that.

Re: Baffled by Corgi Warbirds

Face it guys, Corgi isn't marketing these things to the discerning collector. The fact that they can be found in the toy aisle at discount stores is mute testament to that. They're not trying to annoy us. They're just trying to sell large quantities of cheaply built toys to the undiscerning masses. I don't consider buying this line of Corgi any more than I ever consider purchasing a FoV or SpecCast.

I agree Skunky, but I still think that Corgi is missing the boat. Now that they have made these crappy versions of Brothers' and Unwin's planes they'll probably not make an AA version and they would both sell like crazy. Martin, are you listening. This is a perfect piggyback opportunity! Just add guns, pilor and gear. Bam! A $12 plane just became a $25 plane for about $.05 in parts. Brothers and unwin have been featured in many recent documentaries b/c there were/are so few great BOB vets left. Spitfires and Hurricanes should sell like crazy in the UK and I really think Corgi is nuts with this line. After the 500 worldwide collectors buy these for their kids, who's next. We'll find 'em at Biglots.
