Re: Corgi 2008 2009 Release Schedule

So I can expect my WW 1 pre-orders in one huge box come September?

It looks like I'll have four or five HM Bf-110s before Corgi's "New" 110 sees the light of day.

And when is the P-51A supposed to make it's appearance? I assume its not on the list because it's a 2007 release, and the list is the 2008 release revision?

Re: Corgi 2008 2009 Release Schedule

Delighted to hear Hornby decided to stick with their AA36705 Ju-88A-1 LG1/11 LG-1. Looks like they moved it back a bit, but I'll live with that so long as they deliver.

Re: Corgi 2008 2009 Release Schedule

I see the "Highly Lusted for" Halifax, "Friday the 13th", on the list....

But WHAT is with the "Modified Tooling" on AA.37205 (Red-Halifax)

We getting MORE (or, Less) 'metal' this time around ?????????

Everyone's been moaning about the 'Lack' of 'metal' content on the H.P.57

You DON'T need to modify the Tooling for Red-paint or lack of Turrets.

So, what does "Modified-Tooling" equate to ??????????????

Re: Corgi 2008 2009 Release Schedule

There is some major disappointments on that list:

1. Bf 110 not due til 2009 (Let's delay further one of the most anticipated releases)

2. Lack of a 1/32 Bf 109 Working Range Hermann Graf....................what the heck? What's the deal with that? A lot of dealers had this to be released in 2008 and now not at all.

3. Where's the Ihlefed 1/72 Bf-109E?

Based on this................not too sure if I'll be picking up any of the new releases. The old stuff that's already on the market I'll still be after, but nothing on the list is overly appealing to my tastes. Oh well, I guess other manufacturers get my money (hello 1/32 HM Focke Wulf Fw 190!!).

Same here. When the 2008 releases were first announced, I was interested in the new Gladiator, Mosquito, P-38, Bf-110... Now: Eh. Only the Bf-110 still piques my interest, but I may be satiated with HM's offerings before Corgi releases its first Bf-110. I can't sit around pinin' for the Pooch -- there are just too many other great releases out there to spend my diecast dollars on.

Re: Corgi 2008 2009 Release Schedule

Not counting the American flown SPads, there are only 4 American planes. The rest are all UK or Germain planes. If this floats your boat, enjoy. For me, I just saved lots of money to spend on Hobby Master. Sorry Corgi/Hornby/Whateveryoucallyourself now but you are like a large, gas-guzzling SUV in the era of $4.00 a gallon gas. You're a thing of the past and no longer #1. I'm having trouble falling asleep. Maybe I'll read this release list a second time - that should bore me to sleep.

Re: Corgi 2008 2009 Release Schedule

My wallet can use a break, so quite happy the Bf 110 and Blenhiem are not coming out until 2009.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.
