A quickie Swordfish review..

I just brought my AA36301 "stringbag" back to work with me and I am VERY impressed.. The presentation, and the care Corgi took in packing the model in the box is very well thought out with pieces of foam to cushion key points of the aircraft.. The plane itself is just FANTASTIC!! The pilot/crew are very well detailed and in actual "working" poses The pilot is posed flying, radio man/navigator actually looks like he is listening to the radio, and the gunner is poised to shoot down anything that comes from behind.. The paint and overall finish of the plane is very good with wing hinges that are smooth and tight. I am not a Swordfish expert, so I'll leave any accuracy issues to the people "in the know".
I looked at a few of these that Onmark had in stock and I saw no visible QC issues. I would give Corgi a thumbs up on this bird and I hope that later releases are just as good..

Sounds good hworth18. Great review. I'm looking forward to AA36302. I just wanted one at the outset but your one looks spectacular! They're going to be very hard to resist.

I'd really like to see the float-plane. In fact I'm thinking of pre-ordering it!

Hworth, you are making it tough to resist. (need to, though, to help the finances. I probably should put my TFM 262 out for sale.)

Re: A quickie Swordfish review..

It is nice to know that Corgi appear to have done this historic aircraft proud. I can't wait to get this model - also the black ASR version.

For anyone who is not familiar with the history of the Swordfish, look at this link to get a flavour of what its heroic crews endured in WWII.

Great news Cap, thanks for the info! Is that one a "limited"? And what # is yours? I have been worried that the quality might waver from the super results they had w/ the Gladiators. This is the release @ the top of my list from all manufacturers this year! I pick mine up tomorrow... I am w/ you ZS-VAN, next I really want the one w/ floats, so cool!

Re: A quickie Swordfish review..

JC, I think perhaps you got your posts mixed up? I posted that I am having trouble resisting the Swordfish, for financial reasons, and that I may need to sell my TFM Me 262 exclusive (I did leave out the Me part, however).

If you WERE wondering what # I have, though, it's number 180

Re: A quickie Swordfish review..

Sounds awsome. I have the CC one on pre-order with the Mule, but I am very tempted to get this one asap.
