| AA35302 Doolittle's Raider B25 I thought I was finished purchasing any diecast for at least a month or two when I stumbled upon a never opened Doolittle B25 in an antique store. They were originally asking $69 for it, but I walked away with it for $53.00. It is quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be, but a nice looking little bomber. I hope I didn't overpay for this, as I really don't know what they typically go for. | |||||||||||||

I believe that's less than they originally sold for, so I wouldn't worry too much about being ripped off. In the long run the Doolittle might be one of the more sought after B-25's, just because of the Tokyo Raid story, so I'd say it was a very good buy.

| Re: AA35302 Doolittle's Raider B25 That's a great deal brunowbe. I recently got one off ebay for $35.00 but it was from a private collector and it had received minor damage in an earthquake. With shipping my total cost was about $70.00 so you did real good! Enjoy it. | |||||||||||||

Overpay, my boy–??! Are you kidding??? Brunowbe, you just committed robbery!!! That’s an absolute steal!!!! Good for you! Brother, what a find!!! Were the box and model MINT? Not that it matters a bunch, but at that price a pristine Doolittle would make it that much more mind-boggling. And ain’t she a beauty? I’m looking at mine as we speak, and all I can say is, WOW! By the way, I don’t know if you’ve got the other Corgi ‘25s, but if you don’t, grab ‘em, ‘cause buddy, they’re incredibly beautiful. I just topped off my Corgi Mitchell collection with the Legal Eagle, Corgi’s last ‘25, and all I can say is—outstanding! ![]()

Looks like the general-consencus is you did well. ~Over here, in England, you gotta pay at least £35 ($70) upwards to buy one of the less popular '25's (in 1/72) from a Dealer/Trader at a show.... (not quoting E-bay tho' as prices vary acc' to demand).

TFM sells its Corgi B-25s for 99.99. Perry's sells this one for approx. $60.00 plus shipping... I'd say you got a terrific model for a terrific price. Nice find. You couldn't have asked for better.

| Re: AA35302 Doolittle's Raider B25 I would say that IS a great score for such an iconic bomber, congrats! I recently saw an episode of "Man, Moment, Machine" on History channel and it was about the Doolittle Raiders, and then it snowballed from there when I pop'ed in the movie "30 Seconds Over Tokyo" right after watching that program! | |||||||||||||

Box, packaging, model..................MINT!!!!!!!!!!! The tape was still holding the two pieces of plastic together that the model is sealed in and the wings in their plastic sleeves. There was a little dust on the box though......................... The only other B25 I have is a huge 1/48 Franklin Mint "Mitch the Witch" (which my dad is hounding me about because he wants it and is willing to trade a 1/32 Corgi Old Crow for). The other Corgi B25 I would like to get is either Crabb 2nd or Bats Outa' Hell. According to the consensus here, I guess I got a pretty good deal. Good model at a good price = a good day. Thanks for all of the input fellas.
