Checker nose 190 on Ebay?

NEW Corgi Aviation 1:72 Diecast Germany Fighter FW190 - eBay (item 150262026435 end time Jun-24-08 13:55:08 PDT)

What the is this? Is the Schiphol butcher bird out or is this some kind of scam?

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

Looks like a Dragon model on a Corgi stand. Whats the deal? A hybrid?

Re: Checker nose 190 on Ebay?

Seller is out of HongKong.. Interesting.......
Maybe these were in production when they were cancelled and a piece or two got out?

Re: Checker nose 190 on Ebay?

I'm betting a scam or a repaint. If it is a repaint, looks good to me. Here's an old preproduction photo of the cancelled Checkerboard, compare the two. I'm curious as to why the gear is only shown as down.

Re: Checker nose 190 on Ebay?

I wrote the seller and am asking the DAF team now so we'll soon know I think. I agree, it is Corgi something. The Canopy and UC give it away right off.

Re: Checker nose 190 on Ebay?

Looks like a factory leak model, maybe a slight second,I have picked up a couple of models from similar dealers and the model has reached the UK dealers a month or so later.

Re: Checker nose 190 on Ebay?

In looking at other items this seller has, there are a number of Corgi Showcase models and, in each case. the listing states the original box is not included, but this auction does not mention the box is not included. Is it typical for the model to include packaging when it slips out of the factory?

In any case, we seem to have helped the bidding.
