Ok, I was the 9th highest bidder at $57.77 and got a 2nd chance off to buy it so I did. The high bidder was $77.87. I will do a full report on this when it arrives. I really loved the cowling checkers when I first saw it being listed awhile ago for a upcoming Corgi until it was 'cancelled'. Looking forward to getting this bird.

Be interesting to hear about it Mike -- the strange thing is I don't think the scheme matches the one in the catalog that was cancelled... Could be a prepro, could be custom repaints?

If you got a second chance offer then he must have several of them. I too look forward to it Mike. Did it say it came with some sort of proper Corgi box? I don't recall...

I don't know what the exact story is on this but by the pictures it looks great. Didn't say about the box.Just said "New, never used" so it has to come in something decent to ship it from Hong Kong. I will let ya all know when it comes in!

He listed another of these 3 days ago and today I bid. I lost but got a 2nd chance offer at $27 that expires in 3 days.

Wish one of you would get this by then. I went and dug up an old picture Mark took last year and Pappy is right, it's not quite the same but the staffel emblem on the cowling suggests this is not some cheap knockoff I think. The one for sale is not worn like the prepro either. The upper surfaces should be darker until just aft of the cockpit as shown in the artwork and the prepro. Seems easy to do.
