Corgi/Hornby Spare Parts

The following was posted on the UK Forum by T64

Anyone needing to contact Corgi for spare parts should now try contacting Hornby Spares at:

Hornby Hobbies Ltd
Enterprise Road
Westwood Industrial Estate
Margate
Kent CT9 4JX

Tel +44 (0)1843 233500
Fax +44 (0)1843 233513

E-mail - spares@Hornby.com

Unfortunately Corgi Spares in Leicester is no longer running and they have transferred this to Hornby in Margate.
Hornby have responded to an e-mail request I sent to ffice:smarttags" />lace w:st="on">Helenalace> a couple of days ago so they are currently picking up mails to the old address.

Regards

Re: Corgi/Hornby Spare Parts

Thanks for the info. Is there a US office or is that just wishful thinking.

Re: Corgi/Hornby Spare Parts

Re: Corgi/Hornby Spare Parts

Nothing like GREAT customer service! That's why Hobby Master is #1 and will stay that way.

Re: Corgi/Hornby Spare Parts

I hafta say, if Hornby is trying to kill the Aviation Archive softly, they're doing a good job of it.

The lack of any new releases...

The lack of any substantive info from Hornby/Corgi...

The lack of customer support...

If and when Hornby/Corgi do get around to releasing more models, I wonder how many people will give 'em a pass? I know my diecast budget is already (over)committed to upcoming Hobby Master and Century Wings releases. I was looking forward to several models listed in Corgi's 2008 catalog, but now? Eh. They'll have to put out more models on a par with their Swordfish to get my money. Corgi's a venerable company and I'd hate to see it fade away; I hope they're up to the challenge.

Thumbs up Re: Corgi/Hornby Spare Parts

Whatever plans Hornby/Corgi has in store I hope that Helena will still be around.
I've dealt with her in the past and she's doing a wonderful job.

Re: Corgi/Hornby Spare Parts

I have to say that I was quite surprised yesterday. I opened my mail and in it was a package from Hornby. A couple of months ago, I emailed Corgi and asked about getting a replacement stand piece for my B-29. The B-29 fell and the stand, one of the old ones with the little knob on top, broke off. Corgi emailed me back and quoted me a price (I don't remember how much). I really did not want to pay for it so I never ordered it.

The package from Hornby had a brand new stand (actually a better one than the original model). The letter said they were trying to send out parts for the takeover and that in some instances they would not charge for the parts. Everything was on Horby's letterhead and attached to the part it had a note that said "with complements". I have to say it was a nice surprise and great service.
