| Re: Yankee Doodle or Memphis Belle? Other than the port and starboard cockpit windows, I can't see much else wrong with Yankee Doodle. I know the camo pattern is correct (but I am not sure if the colors are spot on). 41-9023 had a proud career and was on the cutting edge of the 8th's development. It is an historically important aircraft. The camo may not be to everyone's liking, but like it or not, it went into combat with this camo. Why is the model held in less regard by collectors? Anyway, for now, it is a no-brainer. I ain't forkin' out $262.00 bucks at Perry's for MB, no matter how good it is. I'll look around. Anyone have an MB they would like to sell for less than $200.00???? ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Re: Yankee Doodle or Memphis Belle?
I think it's just that the YD isn't as well known -- though by the climbing prices on all the forts you might want to act sooner than later.... Also, I think it's just a bit, well, not as pretty as the rest of the Corgi B-17 fleet correct camo or not. But, as you point out, its service record makes up for that I'm just out of room for more heavies myself, so I had to keep it to two 1:72s -- MB, and BOL. | ||||||||||||||
