Re: Heinkel w/ Doodlebug

Thanks for the warm welcomes!! I have quite a collection already but was just excited as I've wanted this model for a long time and did not want to pay much more than $100 for it. I am one of those guys who just loves everything to do with airplanes! I've got everything in my collection from Franklin Mint Precision models (before they were Armour!) to Bachmann Mini Planes. My current project is a Corgi 1/32 Hurrincan (Park) which I bought on Ebay that had some "battle damage." I bought it shipped for $20 and am in the middle of superdetailing it and repainting it in a desert scheme. I took the sand filter from the old Revel kit and am going to attach it. I've got high expectations! Thanks again for the welcomes.

Welcome to the Forum, you must post pics of that Hurricane, maybe before and after pics?

Re: Heinkel w/ Doodlebug

If you get a chance, how about posting some pictures of you collection. I would like to see some of your old Bachmann Mini Planes.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Heinkel w/ Doodlebug

I will post pictures of everything as soon as I get a chance. I'm still a student at the moment, so space is precious, but there's always space for another airplane!! (or in certain cases helicopter). Where would I post the pictures of the less common brands...bachmann, etc? Thanks,

Matt

Could possibly post in the Collection section under General discussions. Quite a few forum members post pictures of their models under that section.

Re: Heinkel w/ Doodlebug

Hello,

I'm excited about this one!!

And you should be. It's a fair price really too. Hard to do better than $90 shipped for sure...

Welcome to the hangar.

Re: Heinkel w/ Doodlebug

Welcome to the forum. You're in good company here. Congrats on your Heinkel w/Doodlebug acquisition - it's one of Corgi's finest release, imho.

Welcome to the forum! Yes, I agree and one of my favorite HE-111's. These are getting hard to find.

Re: Heinkel w/ Doodlebug

I just got it today...will post pictures later if I have the time. I am impressed with it overall. The paint shceme is really nice and crisp, and the small details (radio antennas, loop antenna) are all present. The gear-up option was really tight, and I thought I was going to break something trying to get the "gear doors" out to set it up gear down! No complaints on this one though. The Gladiator I got on the other hand...more on that one later.
