tante ju

I wonder why Corgi never made a 1/144 tante JU, is it not the german alter ego of the dc 3

Good question since the general rule of thumb is.....anything German sells. I'd like to see one in 1/72 though.....BUT NOT UNTIL I GET MY C-47

OK planenuts, say you do get your C47 first, what scheme would you like it in? Would you be happy if Corgi did one?

And yes, it is rather odd that Corgi choose not to do the Ju52 in 1/144 when they have so many C47/DC3s in that scale.

I really would like a Ju 52. But I just love the C-47/DC-3. They could make a zillion versions, though I wouldn't have room for all of them. And I would be happy if anyone did one as long as it's a GOOD ONE.

They could start with one like this......................................

Re: tante ju

Great choice planenuts. I suspect that the cost of a Ju52 mold would be greater than normal because of the nature of the fuselage skin.

I have the C-47 and Ju-52 in 1:48 also (Franklin Mint). They're cool, but they take up a lot of space.

When I was building models I built mainly in 1/48 scale. I built the 1/48 Monogram C-47,and yeah it's big. I also built 1/48 B-17 and B-24. Just before I stopped building I was looking to build the 1/48 B-29......it scared me just thinking about painting it

I just love 1/72 scale
