Corgi USA tell the buyer and dealers something please ???

Well, I check my email and theres one from my main dealer on there with some Corgi info, but its not from Corgi, basically the email said no more Corgi until October at the soonest and the Corgi USA whse supposedly does not have any inventory and supposedly there is nothing already in the pipeline on its way to the USA from anywhere. The email goes on to say that all current Corgi is selling well and when he went to order some more of the newest releases the Whse and one of the main secondary distributors had nothing to ship. He said he got in what he is being told is his final shipment of any Corgi until October.
I was expecting the next line, to be a price increase but it was not. I guess this guy is just letting his repeat buyers know that if there are any models you are holding out on get em now before they are gone and dont hold your breath on any new models. He also went on to say he was going to be getting Witty Wings in Zeros , Spitfires and others to fill some of the gaps Corgi will be leaving, does not sound good to me for Corgi in the long run.

Why wouldnt Corgi USA or Hornsby release some sort of info and keep some models going, so there is not a complete drought of this line, cant be a good thing with competitors like Hobby Master and some others just waiting to take over the market share.

Just sharing and asking?

Biggie

That sounds like a bit of a long break for anything new States side. Sounds like Corgi for the Holidays. (Maybe)

One would like to think that the new owners are taking a little time to do some serious thinking and research before coming up with a new battleplan. If that's the case, we should be hearing something more definitive in about three months. In the meantime, Corgi seems focused on catching up on 2007 and first half of 2008 orders, albeit with some judicious pruning. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

I think anything Corgi is able to squeeze out from last year's schedule will just be icing on the cake. We'll have to take the squeezings we can find, and hope for the best for 2009 (if there is a 2009 season, given all the gloomy economic and war news). In the meantime, I'm going through and picking up some Corgi models I missed on the way, and shopping more broadly at HM (expanding from prop WWII to Cold War and modern jets).

Well, let's just hope we see it around the holiday season. Either way, if this model is produced it WILL be a sellout. I do not have any lancasters in my collection, so I have been waiting for one that interested me and affordable (compared to the secondary market).

Totally agree Starman. This is one Lancaster I won't pass over. I've always wanted a Lancaster however, the price and/or the livery prevented me from clicking the Buy button. I do hope we see her sooner rather than later.
