Agreed,That would be great to have a BoB Ju88.
JP

It seems most collectors on both sides of the pond are eargerly awaiting the BoB version, if the price is right it could be the first sell out for the Ju88 mould

Re: How about a Ju 88 nightfighter or day fighter

Absolutely, without question, if Corgi (or even Hobby Master, hint-hint) issues a Ju-88C Nachtjager, I GUARANTEE it’ll sell out within a nanosecond!

Which, to my glorious gratification, I admit that the entire Corgi Ju-88 line is absolutely, completely, incredibly beautiful. I just sold a whole bunch of stuff on eBay so I could buy every last lovely little one of these twin-engined beauties, and brother, am I glad I did.

If you’ve ignored these fantabulous bombers, take a second peek. Believe me, they look so much better in the flesh than in pics—and even the pics look gorgeous.

Very true Gort & I for one will buy every version made.

Each to his own, I looked at the price then looked at the bug eyed monster and walked away.
Big gaps and canopy was just dreadful, did I pick a friday afternoon model to look at?

But then again I was in my grumpy old man mode on that day, maybe I should have another look.

btw I do like the JU88 nice looking and one of the best twin jobbies of WW2 no doubting that.

God Bless America.

Jim, when Corgi’s Ju-88s came out, I yawned. I wasn’t impressed in the least, so I ignored them. Then I gave them a second look. Then a third.

Then I bought all four, and I’m tellin’ ya, my friend, these models truly are masterpieces. Honestly, you’d think Hobby Master made them (no slam to Corgi intended). In fact, I’d place these models near the top of my “incredibly detailed, incredibly true-to-life” list. They’re that good.

Problem is, two of these beauties are extremely difficult to find, as in NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE: the AA436703 and AA36702. I believe Aikens still carries them, but they might have sold out by now (they only had two left).

I’m going to pre-order Corgi’s AA36705 Ju-88 A-1. The camouflage colors look thoroughly accurate and extremely appealing. I just hope Corgi issues it sometime this century.

Maybe the one I looked at was a poor example, badly put together.

Corgi did make the odd dog now and again (pun intended).

OK Gort first chance I get I will take a drive to the Mall and look in Model Zone.
I would like the desert version so my Kittyhawks can have some fun.

God Bless America.

Funny enough, I thought I'd like the desert version the least. Turns out I like it the most! But beware, Jim—once you buy one you’ll want them all!

Re: How about a Ju 88 nightfighter or day fighter

It seems like the Hobby Master Bf 110Gs are flying off of the shelves. Why wouldn't a Corgi Ju 88 night fighter?

I would buy at least one of them if they didn't charge too much. The plane isn't that much bigger than a Bf 110, so I don't see why it should cost that much more - it's scary that existing Corgi Ju 88s cost so much.

Hobby Master is the king! Corgi (Hornsby or whoever) is going the way of the do-do bird..

Don't count out Corgi just yet - the pooch will rise like the proverbial Phoenix (it has a certain pedigree and has done a lot for this hobby).
