Neat formation shot you have there!

Re: 1/72nd Corgie P-51"Beaten like a rented Mule"

After all the Corgi P-51 bashing I decided to never buy one. Then saw Down for Double this week at Tuesday Morning and liked the livery. I figured "how bad can it be?" And while it isn't perfect I like it.

I couldn't help but pick it up either - I bought the "Shangri-La" last month and I'm content with it. Mind you, if Gemini ever releases a P-51B/C with the same livery, I'll probably sell the Corgi version. I don't mind the other Corgi Mustangs in my collection - the two Tuskegee P-51Ds are hard to keep shining (there are blemishes on "Creamer's Dream" already). "Hurry Home Honey" and "Nooky Booky III" had such attractive liveries and low prices that I had to pick them up.

Sure they've got gap issues... and the nose lacks that gentle curve that Dragon & Gemini got right... but I can live with them for now.

Kind of like the finish on this Corgi P-51. Picked up the Down for Double P-51 because of the neat looking paint scheme too.

I bought Gentleman Jim but then I would wouldn't I.

Just so long as you don't put them next to Dragons P51s , Corgis are not so bad.

God Bless America.

While we are discussing Mustangs how are the 1/72 Aero Art ones? I still see them in stock at some dealers.

IMHO, Aeroart made the best version, given canopy shape, nose shape, assembly, and gear. However, there were two strange wires hanging from under the wings...never could figure that out. I bought these way back, and was very disappointed when Aeroart backed out of the business.

Thanks for posting the pictures, I have never seen an Aeroart model before.
