Hornby To Revive Corgi's AA Brand?????

In response to an inquiry from a member of the UK forum, a representative of Hornby claims that Corgi's AA brand is an excellent fit with its recently acquired Airfix brand. Furthermore, the Hornby spokesperson claimed that the new owners will develop the range, improve detail and quality and try to increase the numbers of people who collect Corgi's AA product.

Assuming that the, above described, sentiments reflect Hornby"s real plan for Corgi's AA line, this sounds like very good news.

Re: Hornby To Revive Corgi's AA Brand?????

Oh thank god. They finally made a public statement - the doomsayers at the Brit forum were starting to worry me!

Even if the only thing they do for the next year is give us the long-awaited 2008 releases I'll be happy. If they restore the AA line to its former glory... that'd be great.

Doomsaying is a national pastime of the Brits.

Every time we switch on the TV its all doom and gloom. The weather is awful and so is the government.

BUT!...... If the news from Hornby is true then I will declare a national holiday, this is the best news in a long while.

Hornby are my new heroes.

By this, I hope they mean they will also reduce prices across the AA line!

If they move to improve the quality and expand the offerings I'll be a happy camper.

Oh I don't know Jim, Chamberlain was pretty upbeat when he got back from Munich

Will be good (of course) to see the AA line retained/improved by Hornby
