AA37303 Vampire

UPS just dropped off the third Corgi Vampire. My first and probably last unless they do a Sea Vampire. I believe this is the one recalled due to mistakes on the box. I got it from choate76 on Ebay for under $19.99 plus shipping. I'm glad I didn't pay the over $40 it was originally going for.

As for the model it is quite small- everyone remarks on that. You can see it compared to the Hobby Master A-4 in the shot below. The A-4 is a small plane, the Vampire is smaller. I'm not crazy about all the seam lines on the model. They are quite prominent. I'm not sure if there would be a better way to cast the plane but Corgi certainly didn't hide the seams on this one.

I'm happy to have the plane represented but with the seams perhaps AA37302 is the one to buy as the camo tends to break up the lines. Moderately recommended provided you find it at a discounted price.

Re: AA37303 Vampire

Good looking addition to your collection. Corgi did a nice job on their Vampire models.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: AA37303 Vampire

Couldn't resist, got all three. Love 'em or wouldn't have been such a fool. Couldn't say which one I like best, though they should be $10 cheaper per copy. (Why does and P-38 cost the same as a Vampire, which is half the size? Yes, a fool and his money are soon parted...)
