Just received a Swordfish on floats.

UPS delivered a really nice looking Corgi model today. The model was an AA36303 Swordfish Mk.I HMS Malaya and have to say the Swordfish on floats is an impressive looking model. I have to say this one better looking diecast models I have picked up and Corgi did a fantastic job on this one. Only one down side to this model,,,,, when are they going to make some more float planes?

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

A-yup. Swordfish great, make more floatplanes. I received my pre-war Ark Royal / RN Historic Flight Swordfish (AA36302) on Friday. What a snazzy livery! Now why hadn't I bought this one before...? I didn't realize this Swordfish is from the same squadron as the Bismarck Swordfish (AA36301). That's kinda cool.

Nrrrm! Whoosh! Rat-tat-tat!

Hopefully very soon Cruver. I have two of the super JU-52s already and eagerly await the floatplane version which is on TBC status

There are quite a few float planes out there that I would like to see done in diecast. Shoot you probably could run a thread on that topic alone.

The Ju 52 will look great sitting on floats, and might just snag one if I can make some shelf space. I wish Corgi would do something like the Arado Ar 196 float plane, I would pick one of those up in a heartbeat.

The Corgi Swordfish are masterpieces in diecast (and a little plastic).

Superb models.

Now CC the problem here is that I could get a severe attack of wallet pain if Corgi brought out all the floatplanes I wanted, AR196 and the Pete jump straight to the front. We have to get the Grumman Duck in there somewhere.

God Bless America.

The Arado Ar 196, Pete and the Grumman Duck would all put a serious strain on the wallet, but they sure would look great. The Duck would be a great choice and another neat one that comes to mind is the Curtiss SOC Seagull.

Good choice CC and plenty of schemes for that one. (maybe an early scheme, pre war).

To get back on track, I wonder if Corgi plan to release any more Swordfish models.

God Bless America.
