Re: Swordfish In!?

Just ordered it. I usually wait for my models to be dumped in the UK but this one is just too good to wait for.

With this one being limited, I doubt you'll see many dumped.. Even the 1st issue at "not-limited" I doubt you see that in the BINs either...

Re: Swordfish In!?

My Swordfish arrived from The Flying Mule this morning, and all I can say is "superb". This one has definitely been worth waiting for. It looks fantastic parked at dispersal next to the RN Gladiator!

Corgi gets a lot of criticism at times, but this model is example of why they are still the market leaders.

Re: Swordfish In!?

Just got my Swordfish from FM and it is fantastic. Great packing as usual. Noticed the price on the site had gone down $1.00 from my PO price so called to verify correct amount and Samantha was very helpful.

Also got Spitfire 200-202 Buckeye Don. Only Buckeye thing in my whole house Panzercommander and I love it. Don't get any ideas...

Swordfish Review

Just received this model (the Ark Royal variant) and it is excellent! Superb detailing, particularly of the wing rigging, crewmen, undercarriage, and torpedo. Even the gunners Lewis machine-gun is clearly made. The wing-fold feature is also very neat! Certainly helps to fit into my (crowded) display case.
The model can be positioned 'off-centre' on the solid stand provided (with torpedo fitted), so that it is in anti-Bismarck flight mode.
I thought the Gladiator couldn't be topped; glad to see I was wrong...

Thumbs up Re: Swordfish In!?

Got my Ark Royal stringbag today. Like Parsig9 in another thread, I thought the Gladiators couldn't be topped. Boy was I wrong too.
This is one fine piece of diecast. There has been some serious detail put into these babies.

You didn't tell ME to not get any ideas! Glad to see you saw the light and jumped on the Buckeye bandwagon!

Re: Swordfish In!?

I wasn't planning on getting this model, but it simply looks top notch. I'm going to have to get my hands on one.

Re: Swordfish In!?

I broke down and changed my order (tired of waiting for my typhoon) and ordered this one with my 2 flying mule exclusives and the audet spitfire. You're all making this one sound way too good to pass up, thanks guys for burying me into another order
