| Corgi 1/72 Panavia Tornado (Navy 'Luftwaffe') I've been looking for the German Federal Navy Tornado for some time now and finally managed to track one down AA33608 Panavia Tornado. This is a very nice piece of diecast with a beautiful finish, but I have to confess that it has more 'pingy' issues than any Dragon jet I've owned (with the exception of their JR F14). It took me a couple of hours to 'shave' the ordnance loads so that they would fit properly (after one piece snapped clean off in the wing with virtually no force) and undercarriage doors also fall out on gravity's subtle request. Still, notwithstanding the above 'minor' issues, and after some time, patience and judicious use of glue, I would definitely say that it's well worth the money and definitely has a certain 'continental' charm . | |||||||||||||

| Re: Corgi 1/72 Panavia Tornado (Navy 'Luftwaffe') As I posted already earlier here and also in the UK forum, I have so far skipped Corgi´s both German Tonkas since the mold that they used fits for the British versions, but not for the German ones. I just dislike the extra fins on the fuel tanks and the sensors on the tailfin that German Tornadoes just do not have and the silver landing gear which has to be white. So I purchased a Revell Tornado and applied a few enhancements from the Revell plastic kit, which ended quite acceptable to me. View here: Tornado ECR | |||||||||||||
