2008 RELEASES

We are already 4 months into 2008 and you have not yet seen any items from the 2008 range, something which we are as disappointed about as our retail and consumer partners. Corgi made great progress in the latter months of 2007 building collectability back into the brand, restricting quotas on new releases and stopping clearance of new classics lines. The truth of the matter is that we have not quite managed to get ahead of the curve following the delays experienced on the 2007 range.

What do we plan to do about this? In order to try and get ahead of the curve, we have below published where the 2008 range is currently tracking as at today. Again, if there is not a date, this does not mean anything, other than we are awaiting our production slot to be confirmed.

We will not be releasing a 2nd half 2008 catalogue in May as our customers will just be starting to receive the first half range and we cannot expect customers to absorb a full year’s supply of product in the last 7 months of the year. Instead, we are working on a winter supplement that will be released in August. This will detail Sept-Dec releases and will be a smaller range that we CAN deliver on time.

This is the overall situation as of today and all the team at Corgi are doing everything they can to get us back on track. This is taking longer than we anticipated, but as you can see we do plan to restructure the look of the 2008 range on order to meet the objective of all products being released on the date communicated by September of this year.

Thanks again for your continued support, patience and commitment to the brand."

Re: 2008 Corgi Release Schedule

I think it means they are waiting for the release date.

Maybe TBC means "To Be Confirmed"

Hopefully "TBC" is short for "To Be Confirmed", and not "To Be Cancelled".

That was my first guess, glad my guess was wrong. TBC was on the Bf 110C also.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

I agree to be Confirmed but I read that they are waiting to get a slot in the production line. Actual release will be much later.
