| Re: 2008 Corgi Release Schedule I have been waiting for over a year now, maybe longer for the Graf 109 Working Range. One dealer said they received notice of it being released this year but that was long before Hornby. | |||||||||||||

I think they are terrific! I have the Deere Spit and the Lane Spit. I paid approx. 120.00 for Deere and 185.00 for Lane. I thought these were great deals considering how rare they have become.

Night Reaper is in a different league compared to the other Hurricanes. If you're expecting another NR, you will be disappointed.

| Ok, here's what I'm been thinking. Corgi could not keep up doing what they were doing. There just are not enough of us fanatics out there, to justify the pace they were introducing aircraft models. Nothing is going to increase in price (read investment value) if the manufacturer produces all the models that everyone interested in them buys one. Franklin mint is notorous for making as many of a item as people are willing to buy. The comic book industry went through the same story. If every body who wants one, has one, then what's the resale value? NOTHING other than what the base metal is worth. If Hornby reduces the frequency of new models, but picks more models of interest, would that be a bad thing? I really don't care where the models are manufactured. I'm just wondering where the good model research is going to come from. And where the market research is going to be targeted. The US or Britain or will they go completely international? With the fall of the US dollar, will the US colletors get the same amount of attention as the ydid in the past? Guys, if there are only 5,000 of us in the whole freeking world, how much attention can we do we really rate? I'm hoping the manufacturers are blinded by our shouting and continue to cater to our obsessions with good military diecast. | |||||||||||||

Brunowbe - the Spits are great and no serious collector should be without one!! Perrys has the Al Deere "Kiwi" for $99 & I very much doubt you'll find one cheaper. I know of two other dealers with the Bader Spit AA33903, PM me if you want details (Both $99 ea.) My Kiwi sits next to one of my GMP P-40's - very eye catching ![]()

| Re: 2008 Corgi Release Schedule AFAIK Perry's still have a couple of the 1/32 Mossies available, I doubt if Cornby Or Horgi (whatever they are now called) will be producing any more | |||||||||||||
