Re: 2008 Corgi Release Schedule

Is Corgi officially done with the 1/32 birds? I sure hope not.

I think I came across a post that kind of sound like they were done with the 1/32nd aircraft, but not 100% sure on that. I imagine one of the more knowledgeable folks on the forum might have that answer.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: 2008 Corgi Release Schedule

Yeah (rubs hands with glee) another P40, now that is something to look forward to.

I dont know why anyone would be happy at Corgis problems, thats just crazy.

I am cheering for Hornby, lets hope they can work a few wonders and get Corgi up and running again.

btw good one Cardinal,

I believe I shall wait for this P-40 to come out and make it my first, Jim will be proud.

Did I read something above mentioning the release of the checkerboard Fw190? I hope that is true as I was rather dismayed when they cancelled that one (along with the Graf 1/32 109 too!).

Ditto on the P-40; I've got all but one (brag, brag). I also wonder why people take such glee when it comes to Corgi being down. What's the big deal, its only diecast for the love of Pete!? About the checkerboard, I had that one preordered from the start, anticipating a big run; it is one model that (IMHO) could have made some big bucks (that's dollars for you out-of-towners) for the pooch...maybe they'll take another run at it in 2009 (hey, Mule, maybe that would be a good TFM special).

Wonders, heck Jim I'd be happy with 5 new planes a year. Might keep me in the black for a change.

Oh, you know I want Corgi/Hornby to make it. Nothing is more collectible or comes in a nicer box. For what the Predators models cost, I think they get too much bashing really and I don't see anybody else making heavies any time soon. Keep up the good work Hornby.

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

Last thing I remember about this, the asnwer is: We do not know! As I remember, there were no promises to do 1:32 in the future, but no declarations of "Never again" either. Now that Hornby has bought Corgi..........

Was there not a planned or rumored 1/32 Mossie for 2008?

Thumbs up Re: 2008 Corgi Release Schedule

That is true. But there is something about the big ones that make me say WOW!!! My dad recently got an Old Crow 1/32 Corgi Mustang (a big thanks to forum member Old Crow for his Old Crow) and it's impressive, so much so I'm debating trying to find the silver version, but a lack of space is preventing that (the space is reserved for Red 1 and Franz Gotz's ride).

I reckon the 109 is much nicer than the Mustang and even the Spit. Gotz is one of the nicest 109s to my mind.

You have to admit that there last Hurri was the best looking 1:32 Hurricane they made...
That Night Reaper rocks.
So maybe we will see another 1:32 down the road....I hope so.

I have been watching a 1/32nd scale Hurricane for a few days now on eBay. After the way you describe it, might just take a shot at picking one up.

Speaking of watching 1/32 scale birds on the bay, I've been loosely eyeing the Alan Deere Spit, how are the Corgi 1/32 Spits? What's a good deal on one? Doubt I'll go after this one, but........
