Re: 2008 Corgi Release Schedule

Good news! Check out Flying Tigers UK. The first AA release since Hornby's purchase is now in stock: AA36006 BAe Hawk. I imagine it will take a few weeks for this to reach our shores; the Mule is still listing this as a July release, but it should be here much sooner than that. I'm not particularly interested in this release and probably many U.S. collectors are neither, but I find it VERY encouraging to see an AA release only days after some had written off AA for good.

As reported on the UK forum, I think the Hawk along with a few other things had been sitting on the dock in England or was already at sea while the sale was being finalized.

I haven't written AA off for good, I just think that its going to take a bit of time for things to get back on track.

If I am wrong thats OK as well.

Another good looking RAF P-40. Wonder when it will actually be released?

Noticed that a lot of the JUL releases on the Mule are now SEP releases (including this P-40). Wonder if they got some kind of confirmation...?

Hopefully this might be an indication of some good news as far as actually seeing some new models being released.

Yeah, I am sure you are right. I didn't mean to implicate you, Gambit, as having written off AA. Sorry if I gave that impression. I was thinking of some folks over at DAF that seemed almost giddy with Corgi's woes.

Yeah (rubs hands with glee) another P40, now that is something to look forward to.

I dont know why anyone would be happy at Corgis problems, thats just crazy.

I am cheering for Hornby, lets hope they can work a few wonders and get Corgi up and running again.

I

Same here, I would like to see Corgi's Aviation Archive be a success. Corgi has put out some pretty impressive aircraft in that line, and would like to see a few more. I will alos be snapping that latest P-40 up when it comes out.
