UPS dropped off Two Bf 109s and a Hurricane.

It's another fine day in east Texas. There was a knock at the door and a box with models (Yeah). The newest additions are a 49201 JG-3, 'UDET', Hauptmann Hans Von Hahn Messerschmitt Bf-109E, 49204 Desert Camouflage Hans Joachim Marseille Messerschmitt Bf-109E, and a 49101 YY-Q/P3854, Sqd. Ldr. Peter Townsend, No.85 Squadron Hawker Hurricane Mk.I. I really like the looks of the Marseille Bf 109E, they did a nice job on that one. The Hawker Hurricane looks great, and Corgi did put out quite a few Hurricanes. I imagine it would be a challenge to try and get all of them.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Nice -- you're doing a good job gathering up the 109s, why not go for the Hurris, too...

(the Hahn 109 is one of my Corgi favs... though it looks like you might be missing an aerial mast?)

Yep looks like I am going to have to make one for it. Funny thing is that I looked at the canopy through a jewelers loupe and it looks mighty clean, almost like it may have been absent from the start. It is tempting to start hunting down the Corgi Hawker Hurricanes, I only have four and would like to add to that.

You're the bugger who outbid me for those!! I recognize them from their lack of the aerial mast. They look nice, I'm hoping to snag a different Marseilles that's on the bay right now. Can you post pics of the Marseilles next to a Schroer (if you have that one) to compare the liveries? Thanks.

I love the white wall tire's on the MLG.

Do all Corgi 109's come with that feature, or is this one different for some reason?

Re: UPS dropped off Two Bf 109s and a Hurricane.

Strange. I have the Corgi model described as Marseille's plane also. It sports an antenna. Also, the little card that comes in the box describes the plane as belonging to 1 Gruppe of JG 27, a unit famed and at one time named for Lt. Hans Joachim Marseille, who flew "yellow 14", while the model in question is referred to as "white 8". Huh?Better get my glasses checked again. Isn't the plane in the box a "black 8"?

To the best of my knowledge this is the only one sporting white wall tires.

One the Tricatus looks the same as the one I have and it to is minus the antenna. Not sure which way it is supposed to be, but still looks pretty good.

Good score CC. Did you get the Townsend figure as well?
