Does anyone know if any company makes this? It was a late-war aircraft that saw limited front line service in the Pacific Theater at the close of WWII. Very cool aircraft. If anyone knows of anyone who makes it, please let me know.

"The Consolidated B-32 Dominator (Consolidated Model 34) was a heavy bomber made for United States Army Air Forces during World War II, and has the distinction of being the last Allied aircraft to be engaged in combat during World War II. It was developed in parallel with the Boeing B-29 Superfortress as a fallback design should the Superfortress prove unsuccessful. It only reached units in the Pacific during the summer of 1945, and subsequently only saw limited combat operations against Japanese targets before the end of the war. Most of the extant orders of the B-32 were canceled shortly thereafter and only 118 B-32s (of all types) were built."

About a year (or two) ago, I wrote a post on a British Aviation-website forum, about the B.32 Dominator.

The information (& detail) is now available on the Wikipedia website regarding the B.32 Dominator's 'claim
to fame'.


She was (technically, dependant on your viewpoint & chronological dating) THE last aircraft type of WW.II to shoot-down a Japanese-fighter aircraft.... 18th August (AFTER V.J. Day !) - when "Hobo-Queen II" (s/n 42-108532) was one of 4 x B.32's attacked (whilst on a photo'-recon mission over Japanese Islands) - her gunners claiming 2 x A.6-M Zero's & a Ki-44 'Shoki' (Tojo) shot-down.

The combat & casualties are well detailed on the (good ol') Wiki' site, including a clash the day before......

Just dial-in B-32 Dominator


Would CERTAINLY make for a detailed & unique model, though in all-honesty, it's unlikely ever to be built (in die-cast).

They even made an ID model of the B-32 in December 1944 for the US military. Along with the late model Zero, Paul and Jack, this was the last of the WW II ID models.

I found one 1/72nd scale B-32 Dominator put out by Aviation Usk, and yep its a Vac kit. Thought I might find another Vac kit by Koster Aero Enterprises, but nothing on the B-32. Koster used to put out some nice 1/48th scale Vac kits, but think they went out of business quite awhile back.

Back in the days....I think these are TB-32's i liked the XB-32 as well with a tail alot like a B-24.

If of interest there is a large wooden model of the B-32 by ? maybe Pacific. I am surprised Revell didn't do a model.
