Corgi McCain A-4 and USN Agressor

Which McCain bird is this? The one he was shot down in or the one that melted under him during the accident on the Forrestal? The Agressor bird is better than the tan HM one though.

Sorry Shawn. I stand corrected. I didn't see the "Corgi" part and just assumed that you were talking about HM's Mccain Skyhawk. In the Corgi case, it is the Skyhawk that burned beneath him on the Forrestal (VA-46 Clansman).

p.s. Don't know about the rockets on this one.

Here's a picture from Dave Dollarhide (he was in the Skyhawk next to Mccain's on the Forrestal when it burned) from skyhawk.org:

Here's Mccain's Skyhawk as it was configured on that day:

Re: Corgi McCain A-4 and USN Agressor

I didn't think that McCain's A-4E VA-46 BuNo 149996 was tan like on Corgi's picture.

The picture on Pete's site looks good, I bet it was alittle tan, brown and black after the fire though.

Re: Corgi McCain A-4 and USN Agressor

It will be intersting to see how this thing stacks up to the hobby master.

BTW I saw the pre pros shots of HM Blue Angles A-4 it looked awsome, I thinkl Corgi will have a hard time beating it with their more costly version.
