After receiving my "Soviet" Hurricane I noticed that the tropical air filter is really rough-cut, like it needed to be filed smooth before it was painted. The error shows up on the left side of the filter in photos taken by both The Flying Mule and Tricatus. The error isn't unattractive, but seems a bit mysterious. It's almost as if the filter was from a separate, imperfect, mold. I know there was an issue with the Hurry Tank Buster tropical filter, but don't know if it was ever decided whether that model should have had one. That model did have a filter, and it was perfectly formed. Did the filter from that mold get lost (remember the lost 109E filter) and maybe they had a new mold fabricated to avoid complaints, but no one bothered to refine the mold.

[Edit: My first post on this said that the trop filter was missing from the tank buster Hurry, and I thought it was. However, the Hurry with the missing trop filter was the Legends tank buster.)

Here's a picture from the Flying Mule. Looks like a bit of sanding and some paint will fix it.

I took a look at the site, and this one looks pretty good, but I wish they did a Soviet one with stars. Probably going to order one this weekend.

Not wanting to start the old 'did the white Soviet Hurricane actually exist 'cause nobody's seen a photo?' argument again, but one like this would be sweet regardless.

Nice model, I would like to see one of the machine gun armed variants of the Hurricane done up properly in Soviet markings.
