B-25j Bats Pics

Mates,
You are so right about Corgi's 1:72 B-25J Bats.
As soon as i opened the box....Wow that nose art stands out very well.
This is the best i have seen in the B-25's.
Enjoy the pics.
JP

Re: B-25j Bats Pics

As nice as the "Bats" Mitchell is, it could be touch better. I believe it was planenuts that painted on some OD anti-glare panels on the engines and nose. There were some pics on MH1 that made this great model look over-the top fantastic.

I don't like reggae. I love it.

Does anyone have the pics to that B-25 that had the OD customized anti-glare
on Bats ?
I like to see that.

All natural metal B-25's had olive drab anti-glare panels. I have pictures of the real plane it it shows them clearly.

I hate to say it again, but I was too lazy to fire up any of my airbrushes and compressors. I brush painted them on and I brushed some Dullcoat flat on the blue to tone it down. I also used pastels for some exhaust stains which are kinda hard to see in the shots. I should have taken them at 1024x768 instead of 640x480.

Re: B-25j Bats Pics

You did good for using a brush.
That's what i like to do is find a real pic of Bats and do a little touch up on this baby.
It does after all have a very glossy shine on it.
A little Dullcote will fix that .

Thanks. I should have mentioned that I used Tamiya masking tape which gives a very sharp masking edge. Of course I used very good quality sable brushes and flowed the paint on. All of the original WWII color pictures of these planes I have show the paint very flat. That shiny blue paint just didn't look right.
