The new Corgi Briddle Spad XIII in 1/48 is out!

I saw on the Mules website that the new 1/48 scale Corgi Biddle Spad XIII (AA37901) has landed stateside. Looks great from the pictures! Does anyone have one yet and what is your opinion? Ole Louie and I have one pre-ordered already.

My opinion is that it's expensive. Nearly $50 to order it alone. Some other things concern me:

The plastic looking prop but i can live with it
The too big wing struts...
The two piece radiator

It's nice for $30 shipped but $50?

I'm just too spoiled by C1, none of which I paid more than $56 for

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

The seam in the cowling is a pretty bid distracter. They did a nice job on the rigging though, not overly thick on the gauge of wire used.

I think the plane is nice, I got mine today and it was only $42.00 shipped in the USA from a seller I always use on Ebay.

Once again any issues I dont see as that big a deal and in person the nose thing does not look bad, plus the rigging and color looks fantastic.

Corgi has been doing some of the better looking rigging on their biplanes.

I was going to say that if you have one (or several) C1 then you are spoiled as these are the best and well-made diecasts on the market for WWI issues.

Nice SPAD, but I'll wait till the price is right for me to indulge in one.

How did you manage that? (especially on any of the WW I birds) I'd LOVE to buy Udet's Fokker Tripe.
