Carry-on cabin baggage. Beginning and end for a successful delivery. Tits not an option.

Re: Help with POTR

Last time I was back in the UK, I brought a B24 and 6 corgi FW-190's back to the states. On my Mum's last visit here she brought back a 1/32 mossie. Not really much choice about carrying that one on

All arrived successfully via checked baggage. Personally I haven't have any issues with checked baggage, esp if they are well packed in a sturdy case. Maybe I've been lucky, but if that's the case then I've done enough intercontinental to use all my 9 baggage lives up and then some by now.

Ooops!

Re: Help with POTR

JPN - glad you giggled & did not titter....

But returning to the topic if I was taking POTR on a plane i'd be securely boxing and packaging it and checking it in. The risk is too great if a last minute request by the airline to check it in when you thought it could go as carry on luggage.. does not bear thinking about

Take it out and play with it

Re: Help with POTR

It would have to go as baggage as my father in-law is 65 and legally blind even though he can see just fine. Selective vision he calls it, can watch a soccer game no problem on the TV. Thanks for the help guys now to spring my plan on him.

Yeah -- I hear ya -- I had that happen once coming back from the UK. "It has to go into baggage, sir!" I was absolutely livid. In this case, though, we have box measurements to confirm whether or not this could go on as carry-on -- BUT -- given the age of the fellow fulfilling the favour, perhaps it would be best to pack well, and stow underneath.

Agreed.
