New mustang

I was looking at the excellent Tricatus.co.uk site and saw his latest pictures of the
AA37104
North American P-51B Mustang.

This is a plane I was thinking of buying, however I am not too sure about the weathering.
Anybody has it and would like to comment on it?

Anybody know the history behind this one?

I love Polikarpov

I don't have this one so I can't comment on it.

Re: New mustang

It is a CBI Mustang. A first of its type.

Re: New mustang

It looks interesting enough. Definitely heavy on the weathering.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: New mustang

I do.

I've got a decent photo of the real plane SOMEWHERE

It's taken on the left-hand side of the nose (& it's heavily-weathered in that photo')

I came across it a few years ago, when I was researching the 'CBI' "1078" P-51.B Razorback (I have the markings in 1/48th).

I'm at a loss, right now, trying to remember WHICH book it was in.............?
