Help: Anton Hackl or Gerhard Barkhorn?

I'm trying to make a somewhat difficult decision which Bf 106 to chose: Anton Hackl or Gerhard Barkhorn??? Your thoughts and feedback
on whom you'd prefer is highly appreciated. TY.

I would love to get both, but only have enough dough for one at the moment.... Yes, both are the "Gustav" 109s!

Re: Help: Anton Hackl or Gerhard Barkhorn?

Why bother choosing? Just get both! I have Barkhorn but must admit that I've taken a liking to Hackl too. I think that DAF may still have a poll on the 1/32 109s. When it was started Hackl wasn't yet released.

Re: Help: Anton Hackl or Gerhard Barkhorn?

IMHO it's really no competition here - Barkhorn all the way!!!!

Just don't like the way Corgi did the wing crosses. Lines to me look MUCH to thick.

Ooops!

OK, I've dug up the poll. Check it out. I've also added another couple of threads for your perusal. There's also a general 1/32 109 thread as well as an Ehrle one.

Re: Help: Anton Hackl or Gerhard Barkhorn?

Both sounds like a good option!

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Cool Re: Help: Anton Hackl or Gerhard Barkhorn?

That's why I say take both! One day they will be much harder to come by and fly may regret not taking the opportunity now.

I agree with Timbo.. The Barkhorn looks so much better, but if you can afford both, go for it..

Re: Help: Anton Hackl or Gerhard Barkhorn?

They're both excellent offerings, but if you can only afford one then I'd suggest the Barkhorn. I have the Barkhorn and it's the first die cast aircraft you see as you enter my living room. It's that good.
