Thumbs up Re: Phantom of the Rurh or RCAF Lancaster ??

Hello Smartd

I have checked twice . I talked to a guy named Graham there and he told me that the price was like this :

Model less VAT = $ 68.00 pounds

Shipping to Canada = $ 48.00 pounds
=================================

TOTAL = $ 116.00 pounds which = at today's dollar market / exchange rate = $ 232.79 Canadian

The RCAF Lancaster is nice, but I think you'll be happier with the Phantom...

Re: Phantom of the Ruhr or RCAF Lancaster ??

For the prices you're talking about, I'm pretty sure the Phantom is a better deal. I've never been completely happy with my RCAF one. The mid-upper turret looks off to me.

Re: Phantom of the Rurh or RCAF Lancaster ??

For me the Phantom wins hands down. I just can't get by the Martin upper turret being in the wrong place on the RCAF MkX Lanc.

I sent an email to Modelzone to check prices.. If the quote is correct, it would be great!!

Re: Phantom of the Rurh or RCAF Lancaster ??

Yes indeed.

I picked up a RCAF Lancaster and Galland Bf 109 from Perry's for about $250 USD (including shipping). Seems like it would cost the same to ship a Phantom to me from England!

I think " The Phantom of the Rhur " Lancaster is the best one to get.
