Re: Phantom of the Rurh or RCAF Lancaster ??

Cheers Canucklehead ; But I feel for poor ol' Globemaster........

... Being put thru the 'mangle', waiting on SUCH an exotic, exclusive & EXPENSIVE Die-cast !

For SUCH a long time too, poor bloke !!!!!!!!!!!

He must have been as comfortable as a Pit-Bull chewing a wasp !!!!!!!!!!!!

I JUST wanna hear the Guy SING with delight...... (it's a beautiful model, after all )

(in reality; a QUALITY 'John-Mills' impression will do it for me !!!!!!!!!!
...that's why Carlsberg used the actual Film-clip on their T.V. advert for ages.

Over to you Globe' = let's hear it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I don't realy know what this is???

Yeah, still Waiting!!

A long time ago I also bought the Avro Lancaster B.1 (Special) Grand Slam from the UK when it first came out.

The wait wasn't too bad...

Gotta Have This One Now!!!

Re: Phantom of the Rurh or RCAF Lancaster ??

Well Guys, the package arrived today Monday the 21st July.

Paperwork says that it was shipped June 13 so it took awhile alright!

The box That it came in looked like it had been around the world a few times and the cardboard was very soft from the trip.

Shredded paper was used for packing and it definitely is not as good as foam as it tend to compress from the pressures of he trip and then you have space inside the box for things to move around in.

Luckily the Corgi box and foam cradle protected the model just fine.

Took a look at the plane which was in great shape and I have to tell you, If your into Lancasters this one is a must!!

A work of art is a good way to describe it!! so if you are thinking of getting this one just don't wait until they are all gone!!

I give this one Three thumbs up!!! Anybody have an extra thumb?

Thank Your for your help everyone!!

Tis great news there Globemaster, its unfortunate that we all had to go down the Modelzone/Parcelforce garden path to get this fine model. I sincerely hope that the new Corgi does not limit such models to the UK in future
