Water and oil yup thats true,

The women are the oil, always keeping us covered and highly flammable!

Re: Axis Co-Belligerent aircraft paint schemes.

Found a couple more Axis Co-Belligerent Bf 109s and two Swiss 109s too. Interesting looking paint schemes.

From old William Green Bf 109 book.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Axis Co-Belligerent aircraft paint schemes.

It has been mentioned before but is there a market for a completed model finished in primer only that we could finish ourselves to our own desires?

I like both of these but definitely would buy the Swiss livery as that is just too sharp to pass up, Thanks for posting them CC!

There used to be decals out there for some of these paint schemes, but have had not luck turning some of them up lately. Looked for some Rumanian decals, but could only find some for the HS 129.

The Swiss paint scheme would be one that I would like to have.

Re: Axis Co-Belligerent aircraft paint schemes.

It would be great if Corgi would put out some of these.

But if you're desperate for co-belligerency, Easy Model has a huge line-up of Bf-109s, including the three that I have in Romanian, Hungarian and Croatian markings. I have them just for the unusual/different liveries and to show some of the other Axis countries that were involved in WWII.

Also, Witty has a Bf-109G in Italian markings. I've also got that one to fill out my Italian Air Force.

Might have to consider the Easy Model option. Sure would like either a Corgi Bf 109E or their Hawker Hurricane in Romanian markings though.

If you buy a kit of the IAR-80/81 you get the Romanian wing and fuselage insignias that are required. All you need, aside from these, are some yellow numbers which might be borrowed from a German fighter kit and the appropriate paint for the tail stripes. Of course, you have to paint the plane, itself, but that's a given. The same process applies for a Yugoslavian Hurricane. An IK-3 kit has the required wing and tail insignias and almost any numbers below 50 should do. Many Yugoslavian Hurricanes used the basic RAF green and brown upper surface camouflage, with a third color ( sand ) added. Their undersurfaces were often plain aluminum. I'm contemplating a redo of a Corgi BF-109E in Romanian colors and I may also try to convert a Corgi Hurricane into a Yugoslavian fighter at a later date. So many models to redo, so little time. Sigh!

Should Corgi ever start listening to members here........

(regarding liveries, moulds, etc) I will find myself single again

Women and diecast planes are like oil and water

Yep Matey; Bang on Target !!!!!!!!!!!!

My Diecast Aircraft (& Guitars) were cited in my Divorce, (amongst others)

Realise now, that just 1 x 1/72nd Ju.88, was worth a whole lot more than my 'scuzzy-'Ex' ()

"Oil & Water" is a fair analogy !
