Corgi warbirds do they have landing gear?

Hi

Looking at some pics of Corgi's 1/72 Republic P-47D Thunderbolt Col. Dave Schilling (WB99607) on tricatus, I don't see any gear down pics.

Can the warbirds series be displayed gear down?

Thanks a lot

Patrick

This is gear up only with these warbirds series that Corgi makes.

Nope, gear up only.

Re: Corgi warbirds do they have landing gear?

With the exception of the Stuka, the answer would be no. Purely gear up models.

Oh, and one other small thing about the Warbird series -- there is no pilot figure as well - should that be of any importance to you. For some guys it is, others could care less.

Pilot figures are not a real issue with me, but it is kind of odd to have a model that can only be displayed gear up and have no pilot figure.

Yeah -- I hear ya! I think I've heard the term 'ghost planes' around here (or at DAF). So fitting! HM seems to do it right by having no aircrew but the gear down option. I believe IXO is like that too.

I prefer my models sitting on the ramp, but can see how the folks that want to display them in flight would have an issue. Ghost planes, now thats funny.

Yeah -- mine are a mix, so sometimes I've had to get into the odd modification. 'Gear up' with a Legends Johnson Spit IX (THAT was a challenge!) and pilot and armament on a Warbirds Bader Spit Va. Personally, I prefer my Bomber Command heavies on their legs.
