Re: Corgi warbirds do they have landing gear?

Oh, and one other small thing about the Warbird series -- there is no pilot figure as well - should that be of any importance to you. For some guys it is, others could care less.

Hi

Thanks for the extra tip. I am with the poster called "Cruver" on that. I strictly display my planes at the ramp. I actually build 1/72 kits too and usually do not place the pilot in the cockpit.
As space is becoming important I have been thinking about displaying some diecast "In flight" in the future next to my "at ramp" ones, but even that won't stop me from buying "in flight" diecast" without the pilot, I couldn't care less but I respect people who think it's stupid.
On the other hand I will not buy the Dragon German planes that don't have the swastika on the tail, that is important to me.

Whatever rocks our boat I guess!

Nice to see another collecter who likes to dispay is aircraft on the ramp. Like you I still do some model building and have a pretty large stash of kits that need to be built.

Well, eventually if you really get real picky about all the variants you want of a plane, you are going to have to do some yourself. I am far from being a top notch modeler but I manage.

One Corgi plane I hated to see end up in the Warbirds series was the Hermann Graf Fw 190-A5. Such an interesting paint scheme should have been done in their as a Aviation Archive model. It is definitely one I would have liked to see sitting on its landing gear.

Absolutely CC! -- not to mention all the other notables that made the Warbird range only. Corgi should have duplicated some of them (at a lower production run) into the AA range.
