Re: How about a Soviet Hawker Hurricane?

If you dont want to wait years for Corgi to do a proper Russian Hurricane & you dont mind plastic, MRC Easy Model has allready done a few.
For the $$$ they are not bad at all, I got the fist one pictured in my shop, it looks even better in person.

EM has done a few rare Hurrince livery's such as the ones below.

Looks good to me, I may have to get one of those!

Re: How about a Soviet Hawker Hurricane?

I also find these model liveries and I bought a few of those plastic models but for some reason they dont do it for me I sold all of them. Maybe its the fact that they have no pilot or retractable gear. Maybe its because they are so lite that I dont like them as much.

Re: How about a Soviet Hawker Hurricane?

I kind of like the Hawker Hurricane armed with machine guns , either eight or twelve gun armament. Though I have to admit I would like one setup like the Soviet 20mm armed version.

Re: How about a Soviet Hawker Hurricane?

Found some more interesting Soviet Hurricane images.

Found another photo of the Soviet 20mm mounting, like to have a model done up like this.

Here is a fairly plane looking Soviet Hurricane paint scheme.

Here is a real plain Soviet Hurricane paint scheme.

This would make for an interesting paint scheme, ok minus the crashed part though.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Stay tuned Cruver, I've already started a rework of my Corgi white Soviet Hurricane to have the 20mm/12.7mm field mod!

Nice pics too by the way. I have a decal set very close to that last photo and may use it for a repaint one day. Problem is I'm short on Hurricane donor castings - too bad Corgi doesn't have scratch and dent sales. I may use a Warbird, but I'd prefer the gear option as I often change my displays.

Sounds interesting, look forward to seeing your finished model. Definitely will look unique with the Soviet style weapon layout.
