Re: How about a Soviet Hawker Hurricane?

So that could possibly be a one off? At very most quite a limited production.

Smart money will be on one off, not even a very limited production. However, armament modifications were commonplace.

Sergey

Thumbs down Re: How about a Soviet Hawker Hurricane?

Please, no more 1/72 scale Hurricanes !!!!!!! Between Corgi & Easy Model we have more than enough already. I feel the same way about P-51's. Let the manufacturers spend their tooling & R & D dollars doing stuff we don't have. Give me some B-26's and C-46's.

Re: How about a Soviet Hawker Hurricane?

Don't we have a Corgi Russian Hurricane still to come from 2007?

Just took a look an there was supposed to be a Russian Hurricane AA32013 for 2007. I hope it does finally get released, but still would like to see a Soviet Hurricane sporting some red stars.

Yes, I would love a Hurricane with the red stars. Maybe all we will get is that so-called "Russian" Hurricane still in British markings from Corgi issued last summer. All that looks different is the numbers on the side that isn't the regular 3 letter call-signs that are usually British. Still looks British actually since the camo is the same too. Corgi needs to do all-white winter livery in Russian markings.

Found an old black and white photo in a 1940s issue of Air News that has a shot of a Hurricane in with paint scheme similar to the forecasted Corgi model. Still would want one with red stars though.

Re: How about a Soviet Hawker Hurricane?

I found a neat site that has some information on the recovery of a Soviet Hawker Hurricane IIB ‘Trop’ Z5252. When aircraft was pulled out of the water they saw that it was still armed with four RS-82 rockets. Some pretty interesting reading.

Cool shot! That particular scheme of the found Russian Hurricane was the same pic I attached from the previous post I did.

With the rockets, that would make for an excellent model.
