WWI Bombers anyone?

I did not see a thread on this subject and with my latest C1 Fokker MVR showing up, and then the new Squadron catalogue arriving today, I got WWI on the brain. Plus, my trip to Dayton last summer and visit to the WWI section of the museum was awesome.

So......anyone hoping for some WWI bombers?

Let's start with:

Zeppelin Staaken R.VI
A.E.G. G.IV
Airco D.H.4
Breguet Br.14B2
Caproni Ca.3
Sikorsky Ilya Mourometz V

Think we'll ever see them?

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

Re: WWI Bombers anyone?

I doubt we will see any of these---except, perhaps, from Altaya. I'd buy them all if done in 1:72nd scale, but I'm not so sure if they go 1:48.

Re: WWI Bombers anyone?

You know, WWI bombers in 1:72 would be great. I'd totally fall for that.

Anything for a weird life.

Re: WWI Bombers anyone?

Squadron monthly flyer has a couple of new WWI kits out, Zeppelin Staaken R.VI (Aviatik 52/17) and a Zeppelin Staaken R.VI (Schutte-Lanz 27/16). These kits are both listed at $99.99 with a sale price of $89.99, just makes me wonder what die cast model of one would go for.

Re: WWI Bombers anyone?

What blows me away about these world war one bombers was the fact that they could get off the ground!!
