How about a CAM ship Hurricane?

Corgi has a nice looking mold for the Hawker Hurricane and they also have been taking a stab at dioramas for some of their models. So how about a CAM ship Hawker Hurricane, A few years back Hasegawa put out 1/72nd scale kits of the Kawanishi Type-94-1 Alf float plane and a Aichi E13 A1 Jake. Both these kits came with a catapult display stand. So might not be to big a stretch of the imagination to think Corgi might not be able to do the same. It would definitely make for a great Hawker Hurricane display.

Thumbs up Re: How about a CAM ship Hurricane?

I second that CC that is a great idea I would be definitely interested in that scheme, it's not a P-40 but like Jim would say there's always room for another!

Re: How about a CAM ship Hurricane?

Not a great picture, but here at least is a shot of a Hurricane sitting at the ready on a CAM ship.

Re: How about a CAM ship Hurricane?

That could be an interesting project. The FAA flew them with volunteers from all flying services right?

I'm all for it, have been for some time, but highly doubt Corgi will do it. I'd do a one off myself if I could get more details around the catapult and shuttle/rocket design.

Cool! A History Channel documentary did a similar profile of this very shot of the CAM Hurricane.

I think that I say that documentary before too. I think it would be neat if the folks at Corgi could do this one with even only a partial segment of the catapult. Hasegawa did it for a couple of their kits with pretty much a full catapult track, figure Corgi could still pull it off with just a partial section.

I am with you on this Hurriup,

it would be a good one for Corgi to do.

I want the catapult along with it though or there would be no point in doing it.

BTW, when are Corgi going to do another P40?
More to the point when are Dragon going to do one?

Same here, but even a partial section of a catapult might pull it off though.

Re: How about a CAM ship Hurricane?

I found a picture of the old Hasegawa Alf float plane with catapult kit. Looks fairly simple, and with the dioramas that Corgi has put out, think it might just be a realistic request. I already put in a suggestion with the folks at Corgi (Never heard anything back on Mistel suggestion).
