Re: Question about Corgi "McKnight" Hurricane AA32008

Have just checked mine,........ no such problem here. But have you noticed that the tailplane is all earth colour, no green camo?

No red or black paint chipping on mine, but she's brand spankin' new!

As for the tailplane surfaces, I have the earth AND green on all three upper tail section. I wonder if you got one that the painters forgot to paint a section. Believe me, it can happen. Last year, I got the Corgi P-40 Warhawk Flying Tigers, Robert Scott, Burma, "White 7". It took me a while of looking at it to figure what didn't look right. There was no "White 7" painted on the fuselage. Had to send it back for a replacement. Who knows, it coulda been "White 6" for all I know.

Thank goodness it is just the black. At least you could touch that up easy enough. I'm considering getting one of these from Perry to tie up with my Bader 242 Sqdn Hurricane. Absolutely LOVE that fighter! (Of course, that Sea Hurricane also has my attention big-time too! Decisions, decisions)

What decisions JPN?? Get 'em both you know ya wannna! You can never have enough Hurris but of course I might be a little biased in this area.

Yep I believe that's what happened. I've handled the plane, even have it flying formation with Bader's and never noticed until I pulled it of the shelf to check for the gun tapes.
Oh well, it's an easy fix.

Geez! Don't DO that to me! To make matters worse, I have display space for them both as well. Ya got any more gas to throw on the fire??!! (In the end, I likely will -- these are classics -- It's just I'm not looking forward to dealing with Perry's for the McKnight one.)

Well, it really isn't a matter of talking the wife into more space. Simply put, short of a move, there just isn't any! That said, the 'microscopic footprint' I have to display really just means I have to get clever in space use. At this writing, I do have space for another Hurricane (or perhaps that new Blenheim Mk IV coming soon?). I struggle with the variety issue too. What I REALLY need for this grouping (wanna see the photo again TN?) is an early war 2-engined light bomber, hence -- the Blenheim. (I'd really prefer a Mk I, but I can't even get the FROG* model for a decent price!)

Trivia question: FROG is an acronym. Anyone here know what it stands for? First caller with the right answer wins (bragging rights)! I'm sure Hornchurch, CC and a few others know this one -- it's easy!

The catapult is cleverly concealed into the wood grain! You better with the avatar now?

Fly Right Off (the) Ground = FROG !

(think we'll give the 'Bragging-Rights' a miss though, as I'm showing my age......)

There are a few IPMS shows comin' up J.P.N. where ya might just pick up a short-nosed Blenhiem (?)
