| Re: WOW all I can say is WOW I did some modifications to my MIG-29 as it had these large panel gaps on the wings and I could not live with them... To do this you basically have to risk the possibility of permanently damaging the model! Here's how I did it... I removed the plastic plugs from the underside (there are 5) and removed all the mounting screws. Removing the screws is a challange as you hold the model in your palm you could easily break the antennas as you apply pressure on the screws. Use a screwdriver with a lot ot torque as some of these mounting screws are really tight. Then the whole model becomes a puzzle as there are many sections that fit together... The main wing section is one piece which I was carefully "bending" upwards (with both my thumbs in the middle) without damaging/destroying the wings underside pylons. Note: If you bend the wings too much upwards then your model will not fit back togehter as the gaps clearances are getting closed and the upper side section will not fit in anymore. I put all the sections back together and mounted the screws back on and now the wings are not drooped as much and the "gaps" are not there no more. Final touch was to slightly bend the rear wings which on the real MIG are slightly pointing downwards. Now my model looks like a MIG-29 and displayed with cockpit open will "hide" the flaw behibd the cockpit. If you try this please remember...you risk the possilbility of permanently damaging the model. Good luck. | |||||||||||||
