Re: Corgi Spares

Well after the longest wait H.Smith got in touch with me and told me that i would have to pay for the missing item..
I should not have to pay for something that was missing in the first place...I bought a brand new 2007 Corgi
and there making me pay for it again....When it should of been in there the first place.
So from now on ...If i buy any more Corgi's and something is missing i'm sending it back to the vendor for a replacement.
Corgi Customer service is not what it used to be..
This is making me miss Nona even more...
JP

Re: Corgi Spares

I could have done this to replace the missing aerial on my 109. Would have saved me £3 and wouldn't have looked any worse than the one Corgi supplied me with.

I'm certain it's not the same as the orginal one I lost a few years ago, but it looks about the right colour and size and I'm not one to split hairs so I won't be replying to corgi.

Oh, For those of us that live in the UK. The Model Centre (Modelzone) have got a half price sale on most of their corgi. There are some real treasures on offer like the coastal command wellington, 2 different JU-88s, and 3 catalinas.

I've been waiting 2 weeks for a reply.

Well, it only her took about a week to get back to me after I sent an e-mail to hsmith(at)corgiclassics.co.uk -- which is pretty quick, I think -- but I'd also sent three previous e-mails to info(at)corgiclassics.co.uk and dprior(at)corgiclassics.co.uk. Including those earlier e-mails, it took about five weeks until I got a response. I think persistence pays off, so keep sending (very polite) e-mails!

Re: Corgi Spares

Yeah, this may be asking the obvious, but does anyone know why Corgi hasn't set up a spare parts ordering section on their site (-- or set up another firm to handle this for them)? Like it or not, I think we can assume the days of free replacements are pretty much gone. My guess is landing gear and props would be the most immediate needs.

Thanks for posting the correct e-mail address.
I sent her an e-mail yesterday and received a reply today.
I needed the right gun cover for my Elder P51
So with shipping probably $12
Gave her a call and the part is on its way.

Re: Corgi Spares

H. Smith comes through: I received my replacement Spitfire landing gear today, just over two weeks after I sent her my payment info. That's pretty good time, I think. Props to Helena -- she got the job done!
