Lightbulb What are your favorite Corgi models?

I really liked this thread @ the old site and wanted to get it going here straight away.
I don’t have the AA #'s handy but here are some of my all time favorite Corgi's
In no particular order...

Newzeland Spitfire. The newer one w/ the shark’s mouth. This may be my favorite Spit.

B-17 "Bit o lace"... This one is just plain beautiful! Very colorful.

TWA Constellation w/ polished metal. Beautiful says it all, harder to find though.

Hurricane "LE A". This one has the "split down the middle" duck egg and black underside. My favorite Hurricane.

B-52 w/ X-15. Another one that is just cool to look at!

Canadian Lancaster- Air/Sea Rescue. An unusual older release, which is still fairly easy to locate. Colorful and different!

British B-24, Coastal Command. Unusual, very well done paint. Tough to find.

Boeing 707, American Airlines, Polished metal. Like the TWA Connie above... Superb!

The Suez/Israeli set: P-51 and DH Mosquito. I just like this set.

Well those are some of my fav's... I will probably add more later though these are the one's which jump right to mind

Mine has to be Corgi's B17-G 'Nine-O-Nine' (US33309). It just looks right, plus it has some great 1/72nd ground / flight crew figures.

I have to admit I've never been much of a fan of the figures. Just a little to toy like from Corgi, but really I have not seen any of the 1/72 scale manufacturers do any better. I generally prefer no fig's.

The Lancs, hands down. And the Mossie’s. Love ‘em both.

But ... and I say this with deep respect for the old pooch ... I’m seriously thinking of divesting myself of all my Corgi models.

Yeah, I know, I know ... that sounds radical – if not downright foolhardy ...

But with Hobby Master coming out with guns blazing, and Dragon Armor pumping out more and more incredible, fabulous, earthshaking tanks ... well ... my bank account can only take so much.

My favorite Corgi ever is probably my P-51 Tuskegee Airmen Creamer's Dream. Despite Corgi's P-51 flaws, this one hold sentimental value for me.

My favorite mould for them is their P-40 which looks spectacular. Id have to say that Martin's special is my favorite version just because I'm biased towards the Flying Tigers. (I haven't picked up the regular Flying Tiger edition yet so I cannot compare.)

For the bigger planes, I really like my Doolittle B-25. I've purchased a couple B-25's, but again for sentimental purposes, this is my favorite.

Gort,
Hey there.

I have to agree with you about Corgi and their future. While I'm sure that I'll be picking up some Corgi's here and there, Hobby Master is first and foremost in my book right now. (I surmise from the posts on the other board that Gemini's quality is going to be right up with Hobby Masters.)

For me it would have to be in 1:72 The Flying Mule FW-190 and my signed Doolittle Raiders B-25. For 1:144 it would be the NB-52 w/ the X-15 and the USAF E-3 Sentry

The first 2 are right on, IMHO. My others are FW190 White 8, Ira's Corsair, and McKnight's Hurri.
